I love cooking and love trying to learn how to bake. As Ryan and I only have dessert on Sundays, I only get to bake once a week, which is probably a blessing as Ryan would eat everything in sight. This is my new favorite cake recipe. It is light and fresh and airy! We used strawberries instead of raspberries but that was just because the strawberries looked great at the store! Enjoy!

An Apostle's Easter Thoughts on Christ
I am so grateful for the Savior, Jesus Christ, and His infinite Atonement. This Easter season let us all show our gratitude and love for Him by showing kindness to others. I am so blessed in this life and I know that Christ lives. Happy Easter!

Coles Family Est. 2011
Well, the time has come for the first blog posting for the Coles Family! We figured the best way to start off was to share with everyone the happy story of how we met...
We met at BYU in September of 2010. Ryan lived with my best friends at school and we also had our Middle Eastern Geography class together. We went and bought season passes together and had Peruvian food for our first date. It was love right from the beginning and we knew we would get married sooner rather than later.
We got engaged on Christmas Eve 2010 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dana Point, CA after a beautiful piano piece that Ryan played for me on that beautiful 70 degree day at the beach.
We were sealed to each other for time and all eternity on February 16th, 2011 in the Salt Lake City Temple with all our friends and family there to watch. It was truly the most wonderful day of our lives. We are absolutely loving the married life and are so excited for our life together as the Coles Family.
